I was not a big fan of the Faces of Death videos when I was younger. I find it disgusting watching someone’s death. It is not for us to watch. I’m sorry if I am offending anyone out there but a car crash doesn’t interest me either.
I was horrified to hear about the death of Nodar Kumaritashvili this morning and I figured that the video would appear on Youtube in a matter of minutes. Sure enough the video made it on to Youtube and was promptly removed. Please understand this: HIS DEATH IS NOT FICTION. He has a family that is in shock and is mourning his death. His death should not be your entertainment.
Thank you for posting a small voice of sanity. Of course we are curious, we want to understand. But it is ENOUGH, to know the who, and what and how without making the family’s private grief a spectacle. Such unbearable loss and grief should be no ones entertainment.
